Course Overview
By far “Can it help me lose weight?” is one of the two of the most common questions people have about hypnosis.
The answer is yes!
This course will fully prepare you to use hypnosis successfully for weight control. This includes learning about the underlying issues of low self-esteem from which overeating stem. This course will introduce the most common root causes that underpin weight and body image problems. You’ll be prepared to raise and address each ‘cluster’ of related issues with confidence and compassion.
In 2000 - 2001, an estimated 3 million Canadian adults were categorized as obese. An additional 6 million were categorized as overweight. This includes Canada in what the World Health Organization has called ‘a global obesity epidemic.’
While we all understand the logic of the ‘eat less, move more’ formula, most diet and exercise programs generate only short-term results. Dieters and exercisers look forward to losing weight so they can get back to living ‘normally.’ Success usually means a quick return to the old destructive habits that created weight problems in the first place.
The biggest hurdle to long term weight loss success is that the reasons for becoming overweight are deeply rooted in the powerful subconscious mind. This means true behavior change for successful weight loss demands more than superficial ‘will power’ – you’ll learn to use hypnosis to speak directly to the subconscious mind to inspire change and motivation at the level of the ‘problem.’
Diet and exercise ‘solutions’ alone are doomed in a battle between the powerful subconscious and our conscious ‘will power’ —a battle the subconscious mind will always win. The subconscious is bigger, faster, and stronger in every way. The subconscious laughs in the face of puny human willpower. Because hypnosis communicates directly with the subconscious mind hypnosis gives us the tools we need to ‘upgrade’ everyday habitual behaviors.
This course will prepare you to use hypnotherapy to accomplish more than temporary ‘will power’ possibly can by systematically addressing all the underlying subconscious motives that drive behaviors that cause weight gain. You’ll learn to turn the greatest obstacle to weight loss success, the subconscious mind, into the greatest weight loss asset using hypnosis.
